It’s the perfect place to go before starting Safari! We arrived very early after a long flight and Erick the nice receptionist managed to give us a room where we could rest! The staff are what make this place special! Everyone has a big smile on their face and is so polite and genuine. A special shout out to Adam who served us delicious lunch by the pool and David at dinner in the restaurant. We had by far the best paneer curry we’ve ever had. In general the food choice was amazing and great vegetarian options as well. The room was very clean and comfortable. When we checked out two of the housekeeping staff offered to take our bags on the way down. The level of service was incredible and many other 5 star hotels could learn front hear guys. Asante Sana :)

Great food! So much variety for breakfast which is buffet style. There’s also a buffet every evening and a menu of you wish to choose off there. I loved the pizza! And the chicken curry was amazing. The burger was massive! Very friendly staff who are happy to help. I stayed a few nights over different times as I was climbing Kili and going on safari in between. I had a different room each time and all were great. They got bigger every time. Comfy beds and clean bathrooms. Slippers and bathrobes provided. I also used the laundry service which was very swift and reasonably priced.

It is an old but charming Colonial-style hotel, well maintained. The room needs to be updated a little. We can not even find the plug near the bed for iPhone. However, the buffet dinner was beyond expectation, and the hotel looked warm and cozy. We walked outside for a while; although there was no pavement, we still loved the local vibe.

The breakfast buffet which is included in the price was shockingly good. On par with any upscale American hotel. Incredible selection. Made to order eggs. Real fresh baked goods. Good juices. Three choices of sausage plus bacon. Pool water was as clean and clear like drinking water.

The property is beautiful - Lovely garden and spacious rooms. The rooms have a classic tasteful style. The breakfast was great, lots of pastries, protein and fruit. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I would certainly have extended my stay if I didn’t have to work.
